Specializing in special warfare activities, Richard Marcinko’s career with the US Navy spans more than 30years. After joining in 1958, he underwent UDT and SEAL training and was assigned to SEAL Team Two in 1966. He was appointed commander of this unit in 1974. Through the years that followed, Richard served in a variety of combat roles, and eventually formed the now legendary SEAL Team Six and Red Cell counter terrorist forces. Richard is famous among the military forces for his skill, dedication and enthusiasm. Throughout his career Richard has earned 34 citations and medals, including the Legion of Merit, Sliver Star and four Bonze Stars.
